1. From the home screen, swipe down from the status bar.
   
2. Tap Settings.
   
3. Scroll to, then tap About.
   
4. Tap the Category field.
   
5. Tap OS.
   
6. The OS Version is displayed.
   
7. To check for software updates, from the Settings menu, scroll to then tap Software Updates.
   
8. Tap Check for Updates.
   
9. If an update is available, follow on-screen prompts.
