1. From the clock screen, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
   
2. Tap Contacts.
   
3. Scroll to, then tap the desired contact.
   
4. Tap the Call icon to call the selected contact.
   
5. Tap the Message icon to send a text message to the selected contact.
