  1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google based services on your device.

  2. From the home screen, drag down from the top of the screen with two fingers to reveal the quick settings menu.

  3. Tap the Settings icon.

  4. Scroll to 'PERSONAL', then tap Accounts & sync.

  5. Tap the Add icon.

  6. Tap Google.

  7. Tap the Email text field, then enter the desired email address.
    Note: If you need a Google account, tap 'OR CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT' and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit Gmail.

  8. Tap NEXT.

  9. Tap the Password field, then enter the desired password.

  11. Tap ACCEPT to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  12. Scroll to view the Google services, then tap NEXT.
