How to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.



  1. From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the Action Center.

  3. Tap Wi-Fi.

  4. To enable or disable Wi-Fi, tap the Wi-Fi switch.
    Note: To optimize battery life, turn Wi-Fi off when not in use.

  5. Tap the desired Wi-Fi network.

  6. If prompted, tap the Password field.

  7. Enter the network password.

  8. Tap done.
    Note: Data transmitted over a Wi-Fi network does not count toward your AT&T data plan, and will not be billed. To manage whether your device automatically switches from a poor or unstable Wi-Fi network to the AT&T network to maintain a consistent data connection, {insert path to enable/disable auto network switch}. When using the AT&T network, data rates apply.

  9. When Wi-Fi is enabled and active, the Wi-Fi icon will be displayed in the notification bar.

  10. Wi-Fi Sense enables your device to automatically connect to avalable networks, when in range, in order to save cellular data. Additionally, it can share secure Wi-Fi network access with contacts without sharing the network password.

  11. To access the Wi-Fi Sense settings, scroll to and then tap Wi-Fi Sense.

  12. To quickly enable or disable Wi-Fi, swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the Action center.

  13. Tap the Wi-Fi icon.
