1. From the home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
   
2. Tap the Settings icon.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap on the Delete old messages box to activate Text messaging limits.
   
5. Tap on Text messaging limit.
   
6. Select desired Text messaging limit, then tap SET.
   
7. Tap Multimedia message limit.
   
8. Select Desired multimedia message limit, then tap SET.
   
9. Scroll down to Display Settings and tap on Bubble and background.
   
10. Select Desired background layout.
    
11. Tap SAVE.
    
12. Scroll down to Emergency alerts Tap on Receive emergency alerts.
    
13. Tap on Desired emergency alerts.
    
14. Tap the Back Key to return to settings menu.
    
15. The Service Center field displays the message center number
    
16. To change the notification alert, tap Select ringtone
    
17. Select Desired ringtone, then tap OK.
    
18. To restore the default settings, tap the Settings icon.
    
19. Tap Restore default settings.
