1. To take the battery cover off, lift from the usb hole at the bottom of the phone.
   
2. Remove the battery by lifting the battery from the bottom notch.
   
3. Insert the microSIM card with gold contacts face down into the SIM card slot.
   
4. To insert the optional SD card, slide the SD card gold contacts down into the SD card slot located above the SIM card slot.
   Note: SD cards are sold separately. To prevent data corruption, it is recommended to unmount your memory card before removing it. To unmount your memory card, tap Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card.
   
5. If a SIM is not in the device the Missing SIM icon will display in the notifications bar.
