Learn and Customize the Home Screen

Add shortcuts and widgets, access the notification panel, changing wallpaper, and more.

  1. To access the Action Center, swipe down from the Notification bar.

  2. Action Center gives you quick and easy access to your most important notifications and settings. The action center is where you can access quick actions and see your latest text messages, emails, updates, and more.

  3. To access the App List and Start screen. Swipe from Right to left.

  4. To use an app pinned to the Home Screen, tap the Desired tile.

  5. To add an app to the Home Screen, swipe from Right to Left.

  6. Scroll to, then tap and hold the Desired app.

  7. Tap pin to start.

  8. To move a tile on the Start screen, touch and hold the Desired tile.

  9. Drag the Tile to the Desired location.

  10. Release Tile to place it in the Desired location.

  11. To change the size of a tile on the Start screen, tap the Size icon.

  12. To remove a tile from the Start screen, tap the Unpin icon.

  13. To change the phone’s theme (wallpaper), from the Action Center, tap ALL SETTINGS.

  14. In the settings menu, tap Personalization.

  15. Tap Start, then tap Browse and navigate to the desired image.

  16. Touch and drag to position the Image. Use two fingers in a pinching or reverse pinching motion to zoom in or out.

  17. Tap the Save icon.
