Reset your wireless account passcode

You can change your wireless account security passcode, reset it, or sign in without it. Every wireless account has one.


Change or reset your passcode

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in if asked.
  2. Scroll to My linked accounts.
  3. Choose Edit next to the passcode you want to update.
  4. Follow the prompts to finish up.
Your passcode should:
  • Have four characters
  • Be all numbers or a mixture of letters and numbers
  • Have no sequential numbers, like 1234 or 4321

Turn off passcode requirement

When you sign in, enter your wireless account passcode. Then, check Turn off extra security. This removes the extra security from your wireless account, so you don’t have to enter the passcode every time you sign in. Learn more about extra security

  • Have accounts other than wireless linked to your ID? You can sign in without the wireless account passcode. Just check Skip passcode and don’t manage this account today to sign in and manage your non-wireless accounts.
  • Did you combine your wireless service with your AT&T Internet, U-verse® TV, or DIRECTV® service? Then your account also has a combined passcode that you won’t use online.
