DETAILED STEPSGet ready for your tech
We want your installation to be as stress-free as possible.
- Make sure someone 18 or older is available for the entire installation. It usually takes about four hours.
- Don’t cancel your current service until we install your new service.
- The field tech will activate your service and show you how to use your new equipment.
- Our field techs can’t move TVs or furniture, so make sure wall outlets and other areas are easy to access.

For traditional home phone or DSL service
- Go to att.com/repair.
- Choose Home Phone.
- Enter your home phone number and select Continue.
- Select Check Trouble Report Status.
- Sign in with one of the following to see your appointment details:
- Your home phone number and the last four digits of the account owner’s Social Security number
- The user ID and password on the account
