Every account has a passcode. Forget your passcode? You can reset it.

About passcodes

A passcode is like a numerical PIN, and you use it for a specific account. It's four to eight digits. You can also use a passcode to add an extra layer of security to a wireless account.

You, or someone you authorize, will need your passcode when:

Calling AT&T about your account
Managing your account in some retail stores
Signing in, if you have extra security turned on

If you forgot your passcode, it’s easy to reset. New passcodes are four to eight digits and should avoid sequential numbers, like 1234 or 4321.

Go to your AT&T account profile. Sign in, if asked.
Choose Settings.
Scroll to Passcode and select Edit.
Follow the prompts to finish up.

Have extra security turned on for your wireless account? First, sign in to your AT&T account. Then, select Get new passcode link. Follow the directions to change your passcode.

You can turn off the wireless passcode requirement. When you sign in, enter your wireless account passcode. Then, check Turn off extra security.

Or you can skip the wireless passcode requirement at sign in if you have other accounts linked to your ID. Just check Skip passcode and don’t manage this account today to sign in. You’ll only be able to manage non-wireless accounts.

FYI: AT&T Fiber for Business can’t turn off the passcode requirement.
