Update the AT&T Message Center Number

New & existing AT&T wireless customers
The common Message Center Number for new and existing AT&T wireless customers is:
  • +1.312.314.9810
  • This number is provided on all AT&T SIM cards nationally. 

Multiple message center numbers are available for each region. However, each number functions the same regardless of what’s chosen.

For help programming the Message Center Number
  • Chat with us using the Chat button when available. Not available for AT&T PREPAIDSM (formerly GoPhone®).
  • Call 611 from an AT&T wireless phone.
  • Call 800.331.0500 (AT&T PREPAID customers call 800.901.9878).
  • Former AT&T wireless customers use +1.970.376.9301.

SMS text message plus sign requirement

A plus "+" sign must precede the 11-digit message center number in order for SMS text messaging to function:
  • The plus sign (+) key appears on most phones if you press and hold down the 0 key.
  • On some BlackBerry devices, press the SYM key, and then press the + key.
