Monitor and manage your phone time

Keep track of your app usage, reduce screen time, and set limits using the built-in Apple Screen Time and Android Digital Wellbeing apps.

Screen Time for iPhone devices

With Screen Time, you can see how much time you and your family spend on apps and websites. You can view reports and set limits for any iPhone®, iPad, and iPod touch device.

Set up Screen Time

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Screen Time, and then tap Turn On Screen Time.
  3. Follow the prompts to finish up.

View Screen Time reports

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select Screen Time to see info about that day’s usage.
    • Choose See All Activity to find usage for the past week.

Digital Wellbeing for Android devices

Digital Wellbeing gives you a summary of how long you use your device each day. It also shows the number of notifications you get and how often you unlock your device.

Set up Digital Wellbeing

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Digital Wellbeing & parental controls.
  3. Choose Digital Wellbeing.
  4. Follow the prompts to set up:
    • App timers to limit your time on specific apps
    • Focus mode to avoid phone distractions
    • Wind Down mode to prepare for sleep
