Another excellent phone from HTC.
I have used quite a few iOS and android devices over the years designed by various companies but by far HTC is my favorite. HTC combines the entire ecosystem into one package, form factor, hardware and software. My last phone was a Samsung galaxy S3, don't get me wrong but his is an excellent phone too but after using both phones I felt that the HTC was a bit superior to the GS3. GS3 focuses quite a bit on social and sharing software, something that currently another company is focused on. Granted the built in functions are very handy and useful but Samsung did not take the time make it easy for folks to use. The interface is not intuitive and lacks that user friendly feel. HTC's sense UI in my experience is a bit more user friendly and easier for any new Android User to figure out. If you were switching from iOS to Android I would highly recommend the One X+. Another issue that folks tend focus on is battery life and I can tell you now that this will remain an issue unless someone invents a new form of battery technology. I can personally tell you that Samsung GS3, Motorola Razr phones and iOS devices have similar battery challenges. Average users will find that they will have to charge their phones by the end of each day and that's from personal experiences.

Epic failure on a potentially great device

An excellent phone that has excellent potential. But, if you plan is to use this phone with a Bluetooth headset then please be aware that HTC one x+ has significant audio problems.

My HTC One X has been the first phone that I have yet to experience any software failures with, which is great, but it has it's short comings...
Pros: Beautiful screen & mine has been reliable
Cons: Inability to upgrade storage, poor performing front facing camera (produces VERY pixelated images), speaker phone is absolutely useless unless you are in a extraordinarily quiet room, music audio is ok, but can't hear a thing when watching a video online :\
Prosbeautiful screen, reliable
Consinability to add additional storage, horrible front facing camera, very poor speaker phone function, very poor audio when watching online videos
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice features, poor battery life

Like the phone's features such as Beats Audio, large screen, HD video and camera.
Phone is less than a year old and the battery does not go more than 5-6 hours (with 2-3 hours of use) between charges. I've set the brightness and timeout to the minimum settings and close all un-needed apps, but I never can get too far away from a charger which defeats the purpose of a "mobile" device.

Q: How much 'Internal Memory' does it have?
Most of the sony ericson phone have allocated only 400MB internal memory. And this was a huge issue on those phones. How about in this phone?

Q: Why does the phone have problems with the sim card not working half the time????
1 Answer
A: I can't say what the problem might be but I would go to the local store and just tell them the issue and have them replace the sim if you haven't already done that. Its possible the problem is with the sim and not the phone. If it continues after changing the sim then I would have a tech check the phone.

Q: How is this as a phone?
I currently have a Samsung Captivate, and things frequently lock up on it--especially the phone "app." It frequently locks up while I'm trying to dial a number, or it refuses to open, or it closes while I'm typing in a number OR trying to dial. Or it takes up to 30 seconds to start dialing a number. I don't generally mind if other apps lock up or if I have to reboot the phone while using them, but I have no land line, have a baby, live in the country, and can't drive, so I NEED a PHONE that is reliable, regardless of all other features.

Q: Would you recommend this phone before the note II?
1 Answer
A: It is still depend on how you use it, or what your main purpose is. Both have almost same configuration, but since the note II is a little bigger, it is could be your key decision. I have note II, and I feel so big at first. However, I saw all other phone so small now. However, it is also consider a little disadvantage for those don't want a big screen
