I purchased this phone on 07/15/12, the day it came out, and have thoroughly enjoyed playing with it. I upgraded from the Atrix 4G and find myself missing the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner on the 4G was an amazing feature that I sorely miss, but this phone has so much to love about it.
Out of the box you will find the battery leaves much to be desired, but after customizing settings they way I like them I have had zero issues with battery life. While watching a 30 minute review of the Samsung Galaxy S3 where I could see the battery life ticking down, the Atrix HD did tick down slightly faster before my tweaking to apps/settings.
The Smart Actions center is one of my favorite things about this phone because I am a huge fan of automating everything on my phone. I have Tasker as well, but I find they both work nicely together. I automate volume depending on time of day and location, I automate driving, wi-fi, bluetooth, anything I can. I don't have to manually switch settings on my phone ever! When it comes to smartphones I want my phone to actually be smart, and the Atrix HD has that covered.
Another lovely thing about the Atrix HD is the feel of the phone. I was always so worried I would drop the Atrix 4G so I purchased an Otterbox for it. However, the Atrix HD's kevlar backing feels smooth and secure in my hands.
Speaker quality on this phone is the best I have ever heard, and everyone I've spoken to on the phone has mentioned that the sound is very clear. Playing songs or videos on the Atrix HD also sounds great compared to other phones out there. It's loud, clear, and enjoyable.
The Atrix HD also has a beautiful display screen, and movement is very fluid. I haven't experienced any lag when quickly swiping screen to screen. Pictures and video looks wonderful and clear. Pictures also capture fast on the Atrix HD, unlike the Atrix 4G which had a torturous delay.
My only complaint about the Atrix HD would be what appears to be a bug. If you set a pass code of any kind and the screen locks on anything other than your home screen, it may or may not actually lock your phone requiring the pass code. I have found that mine will have the default phone lock, which you simply slide to unlock the phone, and no pass code is required. Major security issue, but until it's fixed I suggest always going back to your home screen before your phone auto locks or you manually lock it.
Minus my one issue, I am very pleased with this phone and would highly recommend it.
