Great basic smart phone
I bought this to replace a Lumia 920 (didn't survive a drop on tile). It works very nice, the battery lasts 5~6 days on a charge and light usage, has good call quality and sound. It doesn't have a flash for the camera which is OK and no front camera but is full featured otherwise.

Not A Quality Phone
I would NOT recommend purchasing a Nokia Lumia! The first Lumia I had malfunctioned three weeks after I bought it, and the second one started acting odd about four months after I received it. The problem with both phones was the screen -- the screen blacked out and would not light back up. I attempted turning the phones off but was unable to and technical support was not able to fix the problem either. Great phone! Not without compromises

The nokia lumia 635 is an excellent budget phone. It's functional fast, smooth with a great battery life. Is does has compromises like a 5mp camera no flash and no selfie cam. Over all it's an excellent smartphone for someone with a budget but still wants their money's worth. Windows phone 8.1 is a massive update from the old system but it is still missing one key feature, apps. Windows phone is missing tons of apps that are popular such as a stock snapchat app, almost no photography apps aside from the nokia ones. So if you do not care about apps then WP is for you, but other that nokia and Microsoft have done a terrific job bringing a phone to those who do not want a binding contract.

Two weeks in, already threw it across the room

I was desperate for a new phone after having the same one for five years and after doing some research, I thought I had made a good choice for the money I wanted to spend at the time. Oh, man. I really wish I had just saved my money and bought something more expensive.
Let me go over the cons. For one, because it's a Windows phone, the amount of apps available is less than an iPhone or Android. I was not aware HOW limited. Of the probably fifty or so apps I have used in the past, only three were available for the phone. There is no forward-facing camera, so my selfie quota has significantly gone down, though that may not be a con. The phone navigates the web with Internet Explorer, and since most sites are not built for that browser, browsing can be tedious. I can't even begin to explain the camera. There are two on the phone, but they come with different "lenses", and basically none of them are very good. The only navigation buttons on the phone are a back button and a home button. If you went back and then decide you want to go forward, well, that's just too bad. And navigating using apps is FRUSTRATING. This is where I threw the phone across the room. Cortana, the faux Siri, is not very good and certainly doesn't have the same sense of humor. If you try to search something while browing the Internet, instead of just searching Bing (which is the default search engine, another con), the phone pulls up Cortana, her little circles spin around for an irritating few seconds, and THEN it goes to Bing.
The pros? Didn't break when I threw it. I actually like the Windows design, and the main screen is very customizable. The "people" section of the phone is pretty cool, and I like being able to see an individual's Facebook updates, etc., without having to actually pull up the app. I initially really, really liked this phone for those reasons.
In short, if you just want a phone that can do a few extra things than a regular cell, go for it. If you prefer to actually browse and have an app obsession (like me), do yourself a favor, wait another paycheck, and buy something else, preferably a phone with a different OS. You tried, Nokia, and I'll give you that. Unfortunately, I will be buying something else within the next month.

Nokia Lumia 635

Well you get what you pay for thats for sure. The phone it self is ok, the speakerphone is horrible though unless you call a landline, if you call cellphones nobody seems to be able to hear you on it. So if you just want a cheap phone thats what this is pretty much. I have had it for about a year, lots of apps arent supported on it so if you like apps dont get this phone, its just a really basic windows smart phone.

The worst phone I have ever used and I bought two an year ago! The battery life is bad, the processor is slow and I would sometime wait for a long time to get the Apps started. Did not expect that Nokia would make something like this product! My suggestion would be to buy anything else than Nokia Lumia 635, its a waste of Money!

Everything Crashes

I got this phone about a year and a half ago and it has annoyed me to no end. Simple apps like instagram, google drive/doc/slides/mail, and snap chat don't exist for the phone. The apps that do exist like to crash when you use them. The substitute for Instagram 6tag crashes all the time, same with twitter. Internet explorer also crashes when reading news or other magazine articles online. The phone itself also restarts on its own when I'm in the middle of doing something which is infuriating and frustrating to no end. I suppose it's fine for texting and calling, but it's "smart phone" capabilities leave much to be desired.

Neat phone. I thought I liked it a lot. Don't ever take the SIM card out and put the same card back in or a new one in or a known good one back in or you have effectively wrecked your phone. Google the errors mentioned and Lumia and you will see lots of instances of wrecked phones with no solutions. ):
