S5 Active is near perfect
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is a great phone. The S2 has been my favorite until now. The S3 and S4 were very dainty, and I do not like the capacitive 3 button style. The S2 featured the Back Button, Home Button, Task Button, and Search Button in that order. It's symmetry was streamlined, and it was still pretty heavy/well built. I've dropped it more times than I can remember, flashed so many times it should be fried, and ran the batt dead and let it sit for so long the cells should have gave ouSee more

Not so special
I bought this phone about 3 months ago and I just dropped it in my driveway in a puddle and the screen cracked and it got water in it. The phone no longer works now, so much for the S5 Active being shock proof and water resistant.

Adventure guide company loves it!

We have an adventure guide company (Really Fun Adventures) and needed a great, durable, capable and adventure proof phone. This phone goes in the river daily, gets banged up, tossed around and in hot and cold situations!
We take tons of pictures of amazing places. People keep encouraging us to publish the photos and always ask what type of camera we use.
I am also a bit of a geek and love technology. I love the features, speed and graphics. I use the phone for everything from Web design, social media, image & video editing, phone system and of course games!
It's a great phone for anyone active. I highly recomend it!

not water resistant and att or Samsung do not back up there product!!!

I got the s5 active about two months ago. About 3 weeks ago the phone started acting up, over heating, resetting itself. Called the att and they sent me a refurbish Phone which was fine till it got a little rain on it and it wasn't submerged In water. Left on the table a few drops of rain landed on it I took it up stairs to make a call and it said I had no sim. At this point I opened the phone water was inside but the indicator For the Phone showed no
Water damage but the battery indicator was red showing water got in. I went to the store and the manager stated that I might of left something open on it. Like I said everything you take the phone off the charger it tells you to check which I always check to make sure that is closed and the back cover. And if I did leave it open would the phone be fried and the indicator show that? Att customer service was the worst I have ever had and I have been a customer for over 16 years. They offer over the phone to send another one only because the phone didn't show water damage and the would not reimbursed the 2 days I couldn't use my phone and also sent me to Samsung which has no customer service and said it my fault and wanted to charge me to fix it. I will be leaving att for 1 selling falsified merchandise and not standing by There product
Which only att exclusively sells the active. 2 I will never purchase a Samsung item again.

Best samsung phone I’ve used ever

Had bought this phone back in 2011-2012 and was the best one I’ve ever owned. I’ve had it fall from a top bunk hitting every possible thing on the way down. I had it for years and this is without an additional case or screen protector. It eventually broke when I accidentally left it on top of my car, couldn’t find it then it fell off when i started leaving work which shattered the screen. Camera is great quality and has a built in otterbox. Favorite phone of all time and looking to get another one soon.

Best Phone I've ever owned

this phone made it through my brother who broke 4 phones before it and 2 phones after it with his carelessness, then it withstanded a concrete corner in the middle of the screen without so much as a scratch, plus, headphone jack, sure it could be slow at times, but it's plenty fast for my purposes, just overall the best phone in general, if i can find one again for a good price, unlocked i will definitely get it, highly recommended phone

Fast reliable easy to use

Although I do miss the active platform, I do like the S10. It feels rugged enough. I'm excited about the camera improvements and have even grown fond of Bixby. I upgraded from an S5 active to the S10 so it was a huge technological jump for me. Like it so far.
