Phone heats up, loses charge, has dead spots and randomly deletes things. This is my 5th one of these since January 16'

Awesome new design

I love this new S6 Active. I bought the S4 Active the day it came out on sale. Really big jump from that, of course it's been almost two years. This new model does not have a removable battery or expandable storage. As far as storage though I've gotten quite used to the free storage I get through the cloud. As far as I can tell so far this S6 active has all the technology and hardware of the regular s6 versions other then the finger print sensor. This model has a bigger battery which should translate to more time before I need to charge but I've only had this phone for one day so I can't comment on its battery life yet other then it's already better then the battery life of my s4 Active by a long shot. Very quick response time on launching apps and I really like the cameras improvement and quality of pictures as compared to my s4. I bought the InvisibleShield and Incipio case for it which were already avaliable on its first day of launch yesterday. Another super great new feature is that the charging flap is gone. I took really good care of my S4 Active's charging flap and it never failed but it was annoying to need to have to remove it carefully and seal it carefully at every charge. I bought the white camo version and am loving it. Now my wife wants one too. I'm going today to go get her one. I hope this review helps those of you that need to know more about the features that are not mentioned. By the way this model also does indeed have the heart rate sensor. Haven't tried it in water yet but if it's anything like my S4 Active I shouldn't have any problems. The Samsung Rep even said I can use it in salt water(at the beach) just like the S5 Active but it must be thoroughly rinsed in clean water afterwards. Anyways like I said hope this helps I'm of to get another one.

Love everything but not enough storage to keep it

I have been waiting for this phone for about 4 months and I was so excited. It's got an amazing camera that's much better than my S5, great Video, and it's much faster performance wise. Great battery life too. It's very snappy. It also just feels really good in my hand. Love how thin it is for a waterproof phone.
So I can live with a fixed battery and no SD card slot but I can't live with the 32gb storage. It's just too small for what I'm use to. You get the phone with around 23gb of free space so that's not a lot for someone like me that stores movies on my phone, shoot's lots of vids and takes lot's of pics. I was really hoping that they would offer a 64gb and 128gb option but it looks like they won't offer those options. I liked this phone so much in the store that I came home to see if I could live with only 23gb but I can't. I was going to take the videos on my phone now and just watch them online but I spend a lot of time in remote areas with poor internet access so that's not an option. So now I'm unsure what to do because I really wanted a water resistant phone.
Please ATT and Samsung come out with at least a 64gb model.

Hate it!

This phone has nothing but issues. Constantly freezes, apps crash and restarts itself even with lots of battery percentage left. Has been in Otterbox since purchased so no issue there. Sometimes when trying to text it will freeze up and letters will be giant blocks and message will be typed several times over. My brother has same phone and same issues. Don't waste your money. Switching back to iPhone. :(

Had this phone (2 of the same model) both have and have had issues with messaging and connecting to WiFi and to the AT&T network. Husband has different phone but on same plan with no issues. Phone was replaced for free due to issues and second one has the same issue but worse

Not really for the active, don't waste the $$

Phone seemed good for a while until it fell out of my pocket. Shattered the screen immediately. Don't waste your money on the "active" version as it makes no difference. It had some good features but it's worthless now that it's shattered. Too bad....

- A: Hello Nytro! I can definitely understand the desire for an MHL compatible device! Being able to stream your phone to your TV using a cable would be extremely useful! At this time, the Samsung Galaxy S6 series of devices do not offer the MHL standards from its USB port or any other direct video output. There is however, a screen mirroring feature built into the Galaxy S6 series of phones that will allow you to screen share your phone to your TV, provided you have the necessary requirements. This is what I found on Samsung’s website regarding the Samsung Galaxy S6 active “This device passed military specification (MIL-STD-810G) testing against a subset of 20 specific environmental conditions, including temperature, dust and sand, shock/vibration, and low pressure/high altitude. Device may not perform as shown in all extreme conditions.
