Good Tablet
Just got this yesterday with IPhone 5c under promotion. Tested it out and liked it but like the other said pictures were slightly blurry. Not to mention, the videos were slightly blurry too. This the first time they made sold their own tablet. The part I don't understand is the $10 dollar charge for mobile share for this tablet with the phone's data. I don't want to use a data plan for the tablet since I have wifi already. I tried to talk to customer service about this but they said I would have to terminate contract on it, and I would have to pay the full retail price on it. Ugh. The difficulties with their policies. However, the tablet just feels kind of like an IPad. It's pretty good for games, watching videos, and Internet surfing. It has a cool feature like Siri that helps you look up things with your voice but sometimes it misreads what you said too. Good battery life since it lasts about more than 6 hours. There is one more thing to note. This tablet supports Google, but I use Apple more often for the music and games. It's hard to transition since I use IPhone and I would have to make a new account with this company and buy music and games separately in which wastes more money. There are games that are free too. But I got the tablet since it was a pretty good deal. So hope my review helps.

I played candy crush for 45 minutes after fully charging it right out of the box and the screen just went black. Would not turn back on. Tried charging it...hoping that the fully charged battery lasted longer 45 minutes. But still won't turn back. No wonder it was free...
No, I do not recommend this product.

I got this a couple of weeks ago. I was disappointed that it came with no charger. One was suppose to be included. I'm unsure as to why it wasn't in the box.
Other than that, it works fine. I'm not a big fan of android, but I imagine in a month or so I'll have it set up the way I want, within the limitations of this device. I'm glad I have it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can this Trek tablet be used as a phone or is it only a smaller laptop-type device?
1 Answer
A: Hey BarbG,
Thank you for asking this question! The AT&T Trek is not able to be used as a phone; however, you can use third party applications to make and receive calls and texts. You can use this as a laptop type device by connecting a Bluetooth keyboard sold separately.
I hope this helps best regards!

Q: Does This has its own phone number?
1 Answer
A: Hello Jend,
The AT&T Trek HD is a fantastic tablet, I would be more than happy to help! It does come with a phone number; however it is considered a data-only device. This would mean the phone number is used only for billing purposes and the SIM is what allows the tablet to connect to mobile data. The tablet would not be able to make or receive phone calls on its own.

Q: Can this device be unlocked and used with another carrier's data plan, whether in US or overseas?

1 Answer
A: Greetings jokoko,
AT&T does have the ability to unlock most AT&T branded devices including the AT&T Trek HD, to be used on another carrier’s network.
There are requirements that need to be met prior to the unlock request being approved.
Check out www.att.com/deviceunlock to view the requirements and submit the unlock request.

Q: Can I hook up the tablet to my TV? If so, what kind of cable do I need?
1 Answer
A: Hey SaraMD777!
Great question and thanks for asking! I’m happy to help you out here.
You absolutely can connect your AT&T Trek HD tablet to your TV with the correct configuration!
In order to do so, you would need either an MHL/SlimPort (via Micro-USB) or Micro-HDMI cable (if your TV supports HDMI). You can find either of these through a quick internet search.
You also have the option to wirelessly cast your tablet to your TV using Google’s Chromecast.
Hope this helps out!

A: Howdy, Lrhea!
Great question!
The AT&T Trek HD does have preloaded games installed on the device. You can also visit the Google Play Store and download additional ones anytime. I recommend checking out https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tutorial.html#!/interactive/id/interactive_1000314?make=ATT&model=TrekHD9020A on how to do that.
If you’re having issues with your current iPad Mini, please check out our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool: https://troubleshoot.att.com/devicetroubleshoot/index.html?s=GN#home .
Happy shopping and have a great day!

Q: Is the Trek HD & Trek 2 HD the same size? Will the Trek 2 HD case work for the Trek HD?
1 Answer
A: Good day, Robmom24!
That’s a great question and I’ll be happy to help out!
The Trek HD and Trek HD 2 tablets are slightly different in size. The Trek HD is 8.35x4.95x0.35 in size and weighs 12 ounces. The Trek HD 2 tablet is 8.46x4.92x0.35 and weighs 12.8 ounces.
Due to this difference in size, the case for the Trek HD 2 would not fit a Trek HD tablet properly.
If you’re interested in a new case for your AT&T Trek HD tablet, you can buy one online at www.att.com/accessories.
Thanks for your time and have a great one!
