Great Device
It's a great tablet. I enjoy using it but I miss my old Asus. This is a smart tablet and has a lot of upgrades. It's wider than usual and everything is larger on the screen which is a great Help to me, I don't need my magnifier.

Horrible tablet!
Got it for free at my local AT&The store... never worked well from the time I powered it on. Screen refresh was slow, keyboard would disappear. Was useless. Very disappointing. Replaced this with a samsung galaxy tab. Now I am happy!

Good value, good build quality

Got mine with the G4 promotion and am pleasantly surprised. The screen is clear & bright, it's quick enough for all but a demanding gamer, and the full sized USB port, IR blaster and microSD slot should be standard on ALL tablets. QPair with the G4 is a great feature! As noted in the title, the build quality is quite good. And guess what? It has a built-in stylus.
The only downside may be battery replacement as it's not easily apparent how to get to it, which is true for most tablets. That said, so far the 4,200 mAh has a good endurance, and with a 2 amp charger it recharges quickly.
This tablet works great with a folio +
keyboard combo like the M-Edge SM, and both the G4 and G Pad F 8 work with the Boombot REX Bluetooth speakers.
Tip: the G Pad F 8 can't use the AT&T phone messenging app that users may have lidted in Play Store/My Apps from an AT&T Android phone, bit there's a special version for tablets. A quick search for AT&T messenger tablets will find it.

Sooooo Slow & Very Disappointed

My wife and I each got one of these LG G Pad F 8.0 tablets yesterday and we are very disappointed. We loved the design and features of the tablet which include a stylus and USB port. But both tablets are so slow...web pages, applications, and everything we've tried so far load like we're using technology from several generations back. We bought these to replace our first generation Fire HD tablets because we wanted something that is Android (our devices include Apple, Windows and Amazon. All of our other devices load faster WAY faster. We were shocked. We never anticipated that these new LG tablets would be our slowest devices. Again, we are very disappointed and intend to return both units today.

Not a fan of this tablet!

Absolutely terrible device, slow sometimes the screen is to sensitive. But other times very unresponsive. Internet is very slow Wi-Fi or regular data usage. Shuts downs apps way to often. Buy anything else!

- A: Hello Superslinky0272, All great questions and I’ll be happy to provide any info I can. The LG G Pad F 8.0 has three different options for purchase. You can get it with no cost for the device itself, but a 2-year contract is required with this option. You can also purchase it with no contract for $169.99, or the device only (no line required) for the same price. Either of the first two options will require you to have a line of service for the tablet. The cost of that line will depend on your current data plan. The last option means you won’t need a plan for it, however it also would not work outside of a Wi-Fi network without that plan. Finally, each option where you add a new line for this tablet does charge an activation fee. Standard activation fees are up to $45. Hope this helps! - A: Hi there SteveC! Great question! The LG G Pad F will definitely work with your current data plan without having to make any changes to the plan itself. If you would like for the tablet to work outside of a Wi-Fi connection though, it will need to have its own line of service on your account. Typically, those will run right around $10 (plus any activation fees or taxes). As far as working in conjunction with an iPhone, you’re going to run into a few issues on that front. The LG G Pad F runs on Android software, which is not exactly compatible with your iPhone 6 Plus’s iOS software. Anything you want to move from your iPhone to the tablet (apps, photos, videos, music) can all be done through various steps. A quick internet search will reveal those for you!
