Stop calls with Digital Phone Call Protect

Get more control over unwanted calls. See a [V] on your caller ID? It means we verified the number belongs to the company or person placing the call.

Block calls from scammers and get spam alerts

Have AT&T Phone? You can stop spam calls, get alerts, and unblock specific numbers with Digital Phone Call Protect at no charge.1
Digital phone call protect features
  • [V] valid number calling: Soon you’ll see a [V] on your caller ID for some calls. For these calls, we confirm the call is originating from the phone registered to that number. (Remember to still exercise caution when answering a call from an unknown number.)
  • Automatic fraud blocking: Each potential fraud call gives the caller a busy signal, and the call won’t go through. You can toggle this feature on or off.
  • Call blocking: If you have a specific number you want to block, press *61 after the unwanted call to block that number.
  • Call log: You can see detailed call log info.
  • Suspected spam call warning: You’ll still get spam calls, but your caller ID will display Suspected Spam and a category like Political, Nonprofit, Telemarketer, Survey, or Robocaller.

Good to know: For [V] valid number calling, only our company and a few others are initially confirming the originating number is valid. As more phone companies come onboard and begin using this advanced technology, the percentage of validated calls will increase.
