Bring your own device to AT&T Prepaid

Want to bring your own phone or tablet to AT&T Prepaid? Find out how to get a SIM card, keep your phone number, and more.


Make sure your device works on AT&T Prepaid

Get an AT&T Prepaid SIM Card kit

  1. Go to the Prepaid BYOD page and choose your SIM type.
    • A physical SIM: Selected by default
    • eSIM: Choose Get an eSIM activation card instead
  2. Choose an AT&T Prepaid® plan and complete the checkout process.
We’ll ship your prepaid SIM card or eSIM activation card to you (arrives within 3-7 business days). To activate your phone with:
  •     A physical SIM card: Insert the SIM into your unlocked phone
  •    An eSIM: Use your phone to scan the QR code on your activation card and follow the prompts to activate.
 
FYI: Not sure if your device can use eSIM? Dial *#06# on your device. If you see an EID number, you can use eSIM.
