Horrible, Worthless Product
We sent it back for credit as the tech said it was obsolete and not a usable product! We were given false information via telephone, and if the phone salesperson had been truthful, we NEVER would have ordered this product.

Q: VOIP battery back up compatibility with your equipment modems/routers BGW320, BGW210, Arris NVG599, Pace 5268AC Gateway, Motorola NVG589, Pace 5168NV or Motorola NVG-510? Will it work or no?

Q: So this keeps power for the gateway and the phone working?

A: Hello AmberBamber. This depends on which gateway you are using for example the BGW320 is a router/ONT combo so this would be a good solution for that gateway because this is designed for use with the ONT. This will allow VOIP services to continue working, but if your phone handset requires a power supply you will need a different solution for the phone.
Thanks,

Sorry for the delay. It uses D Cell batteries, and it can use ones from any brand.

Q: Why can’t the APC CP12142LI unit (the one recommended for the WiFi Gateway) also be used for the ONT? The Nokia ONT that I have has a 12V input, the same as the APC unit, and seems to be a more elegant solution than one with 12 D batteries?

A: Hi PK2800,
There are many different options for battery backup, but this is the one we suggest. You can definitely use a different one, and we suggest reaching out to the battery manufacturer to ensure there are no issues.

Q: Will this allow me to continuing using fiber (indoor AT&T/Nolia ONT) for internet (not VOIP) during an electrical service outage? I already have a separate battery backup for my AT&T router/wifi gateway. Thanks!

A: Hi RJTIII,
Yes, it will since you will have your gateway on a battery backup as well. If there is a larger power outage that effects the AT&T equipment down the road or the main office, you will not have power, since the service providing internet will not have power.

A: Hi KrisDD,
It would not be used for your gateway, but for your ONT, if you have one.

Q: This is a battery backup for the ONT, correct? Is that the landline telephone? If I have a battery backup system I purchase externally, would that theoretically support the ONT as well or they need separate back up?

A: Hi Monniemomo,
Yes, this is a battery backup for the ONT, which is used if you have a fiber connection. You are able to use a 3rd party battery backup system as well.
