Not the same as original

Did not come with installation instructions and the photographs reflect the same size as the original but the purchased one is smaller requiring different mounting screws.

Q: Only one jack in house, on wall. Presently have splitter - A to filter and phone, B to bonded dsl modem. Want to mount phone on wall. Does this unit provide an internal splitter and jack for the bonded dsl modem? If not, where do I find one does?

Q: Is there a port for the modem? I only have the one (wall mount) phone jack.

- A: Hi trm2, It depends on the way your gateway connects to the internet, but this will not give you a port for your modem. You would still need to connect the outside wire to it. If you need another port, you will want to get a technician out. David, AT&T Community Specialist5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I think I am in need of a new DSL filter. My phone has a lot of static and I cannot hear who is on the other side. We had a really bad thunderstorm a few weeks ago and it might have knocked it our. I purchased another phone and that was not the problem.

Q: Hello, I just replaced my answering machine with At&T's 1740 Digital Answering system. I notice now I have static on the line even though I have DSL filters on all my phone jacks. Can the DSL filters go bad?
