Easy as quick set-up.
The whole process of down loading the app to verifying bank account data was clean and simple. I was able to use the credit card reader within minutes. Initial transfer of funds might take a couple days but after that subsequent transfer are a one day affair. Great product

The Square reader is not free at any retail locations. If you’re a first-time Square Seller and have never signed up before, you’re able to receive a free reader. Feel free to take a look here: https://squ.re/3cGLLv2 to find a retail location near you if your interest in purchasing one.

Q: Are there monthly fees associated with this device other than just having a regular phone plan. For example does at&t keep a percentage of the transaction?

A: Hi! The answer below is correct. The Square app requires an internet connection at all times to function properly. This can be either a WiFi connection or a data service on your mobile device (such as 3G, 4G or EDGE).

A: Hi, Yazmine! The Square magstripe reader can accept chip cards, but only via swiping them. It does not have a chip reader within it.
