Worst Phone Ever
Was sent this phone for free to replace my Huawei which supposedly wouldn't work on the network anymore. This is the WORST phone I have ever used. Do not purchase.

Worst phone I have owned.

First of all AT&T, this phone will not connect to Wi-Fi unless it's AT&T. I can't afford AT&T services. As for the Apps, most of them have stopped working and I can't reload or update them as it keeps saying I'm not connected even if I am signed in. Worst part of it all....I PAID FOR THIS PHONE! I didn't have this cheap piece of junk sent to me to replace a perfectly good phone.

Dear Customer, sorry to hear that. Connect your device to the internet via WiFi at home and check your phone for any update via Google Play Store. Updating Google Play Services and Apps will keep your phone performing at best. Also, check whether there's any system update via your Settings. Hope this helps. - Kevin.

Nightmare of a Phone

I am in agreement with others' comments: This thing is barely an Android phone. It seems to have a mind of its own, ghost dialing, closing apps w/o notice, touch screen sensitivity issues, delays in syncing texts and emails, on and on and on and on.
ATT sent this phone as a 'replacement' for my perfectly good and well-loved Windows phone, which ATT arbitrarily shut off SIX MONTHS before the Feb 2022 deadline. Imagine my surprise when I lost all my texts, photos, and contacts for the last 10 years. I was not happy. I went to the ATT phone store to ask they turn my phone back on or transfer the data: The all mighty and powerful ATT could do neither, nor could two other tech repair shops. Three weeks later, my contacts reappeared in the Alcatel device, but not my texts nor photos.
And ATT customer support of this phone consists of recommending turning off the device and restarting it. Yup. Two experts wasted hours of my time 'troubleshooting' only to offer that advice. Duh, as if I hadn't already rebooted it a half dozen times... and two days later, it suddenly started working again.
I am convinced that ATT purposefully sent this rotten device as a replacement to force recipients to purchase a better phone from - ta da - ATT. Win-win for ATT, right?

Dear Customer, thank you for your feedback and sorry for the inconveniences. This phone is designed with Android 10 Go Edition operating system and it was launched a while ago. If this is your first time setting up the phone, there may be Google Play Service update in the background. This may be take a while depending on your connection speed to the internet. It is recommended that you connect your device to the internet via Wi-Fi at home, unless you have unlimited cellular data. During your setup, the Android operating system is looking to update the Google Play Service. This may be happening in the background and can take a while. Afterward, do check the Google Play Store for any available update to the apps that are on your device. If and when you open an app and it is not performing well, the first thing to check is for an available app update. Lastly, when you are using an Android type phone and you login with your Gmail account, you have the option to backup your contact information and other information. Go to your Settings > Accounts > select your Gmail account > Account sync > enable what you would like to backup. Absolutely terrible

I received this phone for free after ATT decided not to support my oneplus 7T any longer, despite it being completely 4G voice compatible. I refused to buy a new phone so they sent this one. How bad could it be?
It's terrible. It's extremely sluggish, taking ages to open any app and apps hang/crash all the time. The touchscreen is very finnicky, sometimes not registering touch and other times way over-sensitive.
The bluetooth won't pair properly with many devices, sometimes not registering at all.
Photos are blurry unless under perfect lighting and you hold absolutely dead-still and the picture quality is poor, either over or under exposed.
The screen is much too dim at max brightness outside, and the auto-dimming feature always sets it at a difficult to see level inside. Even when you turn auto-dimming off in android and manually set set brightness it STILL auto dims on me while looking at it.
I could go on. The ONLY decent thing about this phone is the battery life, which lasts me several days for light use before needing charging.
This phone is a dud and a waste of precious resources that could've been used to make a better phone. Absolutely do not buy this phone under any circumstances.
