Best cell phone camera, hands down

My wife traded her iphone in for this and now the whole family is on Windows Phone.
Pros:
Best cell phone camera, bar NONE. And, NO you don't have to be a photography expert to get remarkable results. There are plenty of automatic settings.
MS office mobile is inlcuded. Opens Excel, Word, POWERPOINT files like a champ.
Lightweight, sturdy material.
Apps, plenty of apps, including a 3rd party instagram that's BETTER than the actual official app.
Live Tiles, can't say enough about these. Set up groups of contacts and pin that tile to your start screen. You will never miss another email, twitter or facebook update from these people.
Rooms: share a calendar, photos, documents, etc with others who also have a WP. For example, share a OneNote checklist for a shared shopping list. One person updates it while the other heads to the store.
o/s is "buttery smooth" neer lagging. Apps are arranged how you want on start screen, or found alphabetically with a quick swipe.
cons:
Battery life will not be super if you take a lot of pictures. Might want to get the camera grip.
Camera bump on back makes it not lie flat.
Wireless charging coils are not built in. If you want to take advantage of the wireless charging feature, you have to buy a speceial case.

The phone over heats, I have upgraded from the 920 which also had a heating problem. I am now stuck with a phone that gets very hot when I use it for more than 5 minutes. My web use is limited as well and I have trouble receiving my emails. I regret not getting an android like my husbands... no problems there. The camera is great! I guess a bought a camera which just so happens to be a phone.

Awesome device

This phone is amazing, Windows 8 OS is clean and fast and the camera takes beautiful photos. I will agree the lumia line does have issues with heat but there is a way around it, if you use a phone case they will over heat, my lumia never overheats but I do not use a case, my wifes lumia however was over heating until we removed the case. That being said I modified the case to allow air flow to the back of the phone, problem solved.

Windows is not ready for phones very limited

The Nokia 1020 phone has a good camera, you must know how to use a dlsr to use it. The bad about this it has a Windows 8 operating system, it is very limited on what you can do on the internet, if you conduct business, do not get this phone. The apps are very poor and not even close to iphone or andoird, I'm stuck in this phone with a two year contract, I might be able to upgrade in six months, thats six more months of not being able to conduct business on the phone, I have to purchase a tablet.
