An entire family tool!
I haven't used it as much as I expected! The device has been used by the entire family, ages 4-42! The air has always been handy and easy to use in town, traveling or at home reading to relax at bedtime! Movies are so crisp in hd with the retina display... The camera is a little grainy at times, but overall this I pad air is great!
Yes, I recommend this product.

The Best 4G Tablet on ATT
This was my first 4G tablet on ATT, but my second iPad (upgraded from iPad 4) to date. I wanted to upgrade to the latest hardware and get something lighter than the previous generation, so I settled for this after returning a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
First off, I give thanks to ATT for being a very professional and supportive company, and in getting my order out to me after Christmas. Although I had trouble with activating this tablet out of the box, customer care was there to address the problem right away. Now speaking of the tablet, if you are not too familiar with Apple products, just know that they are a bit more expensive than its competitors, but more than make up for it with technology that just works the first time, every time. So if price is not a factor in the buying process and you want something stylish, lightweight, simple to use, and makes a wonderful mobile computer this device is for you.
If you are on the fence about buying an Apple tablet, do not be because you would be selling yourself short of superb craftsmanship, a massive library of the best apps, the best cohesion of an operating system ecosystem, and simplicity.
The iPad Air is the best tablet Apple has ever made to date. It is powered by the same processor and chipsets found in the iPhone 5S, but just slighter faster. The design of the tablet is something space age and very light (slightly over a pound), and it is very portable. The Retina screen may still be at the same resolution and that is just fine because your eyes cannot detect any pixel whatsoever, so you will have the unmistakable clarity which Apple has always brought to the table. You have stereo speakers this time around located at the bottom of the screen and they produce a better sound than most other brands that I have tried or owned. With the thinner bezel on the sides of this tablet, it really gives the illusion that your iPad has a larger screen, which is very nice because it follows similarly to say Samsung TV's. I prefer mostly screen real estate wherever possible.
With this tablet paired up with ATT's 4G network, it is a marriage made in heaven, and I do believe this network does have one of the fastest, if not the speediest, networks around--especially if you live in a 4G area with full bars like I do. And since this particular iPad supports MIMO for Wifi, I have noticed a reasonable bump in connectivity and speed within my home wireless network, a thing that just cannot compete with the robustness of ATT's 4G.
The built-in cameras take okay photos, but the biggest improvement is when you use FaceTime (front camera), which has been bumped up slightly higher this time around. The volume rocker on the side of the tablet has changed slightly where it is more separated and rugged. We still have the lightning port for charging as well.
In terms of battery life, I have yet to charge my iPad since I removed it from the box, and it was a little over 70 percent then. I have played a few app games, web browsed, synced all of my apps, downloaded updates, and more without charging. If this is any indication, I suspect this unit should be well over 10 hours of use like my previous iPad.
You cannot go wrong overall with this tablet, so please do read the professional reviews out there too. It is a powerhouse, has fantastic build quality, simple to use OS, has the largest app store to find whatever you want to turn this mobile computer into, and when paired with ATT's network, it is unbeatable.
Prossuperb build quality, retina screen, battery life (10+ hrs), app store (400000+), customer service (att/apple), att 4g service speeds, good stereo speakers, lightweight design
Consno expandable memory slot, restrictive os (limited customization), no native flash support, pricey
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I have 3 smartphones with AT&T and also have Direct TV. I know I can add a free 4th line to my account because I have both services, using a "qualifying device". Can I add an iPad Air as my free 4th line with the same unlimited data plan my cells have?

A: Hi Chars-
Thank you for posting your question! With the AT&T unlimited data plan, the 4th line has to be a smartphone and cannot be substituted for another device type. Please visit https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/unlimited-plan.html?&WT.srch=1&source=ECPS0000000PSM00P for more details on the AT&T unlimited data plan.
Thanks-
