Adding and removing contacts from favorites
Update your favorites list to keep your favorite contacts easily accessible. Removing contacts from your favorites list does not remove them from your device. If the contact is stored directly on your SIM card you may not be able to add it to your favorites.
1.
From the Contacts screen in the Phone app, select the contact you'd like to add to Favorites.

Tap the Star icon to add the contact to Favorites.
When the Star icon is white, that means the contact has been designated as a favorite.

Tap the Back icon.
4.
Tap Favourites.
5.
To remove a contact from Favorites, touch and hold the contact you'd like to remove.
6.
Tap Remove.
Removing a contact from your favorites won't delete the contact from your device.
7.
You've completed the steps!
