Meet Siri AI
Siri has been rebuilt into a conversational assistant that understands what's on your screen, searches across your messages, emails, and photos, and supports natural back-and-forth conversations. Say "Hey Siri," press the Side button, or swipe down from the Dynamic Island to get started. (Currently only available for users with a supported device set to English)
Revisit conversations in the new Siri app
Your Siri conversations now live in the dedicated Siri app and sync across your Apple devices with iCloud, so you can start a conversation on one device and continue it on another. (Currently only available for users with a supported device set to English)
See what Siri sees with Siri mode
Open Camera and use Siri mode to ask about objects seen through the camera. Siri can identify what you're looking at, answer questions, and provide relevant actions, such as getting nutrition information from food or helping split a bill. (Currently only available for users with a supported device set to English)
Write with Siri anywhere you type
Siri's Writing Tools can help draft, revise, and proofread text system-wide, including adjusting your writing based on context and how you typically communicate. (Currently only available for users with a supported device set to English)
Try the new Photos editing tools
Photos adds Spatial Reframing, Clean Up, and Extend. Reframe a photo and adjust its perspective, remove unwanted objects with Clean Up, or use Extend to generate more of the scene beyond the original image.
Let Safari do more of the browsing for you
Safari can automatically organize tabs into topics, use Notify Me to alert you when a webpage changes (such as a price drop or restock) and create custom extensions by describing what you want.
Customize your look with Liquid Glass
Go to Settings > Appearance to adjust the Liquid Glass look across your iPhone, including how clear or tinted the interface appears.
Set independent alarm and alert volumes
Under Settings > Sounds & Haptics, turn off Match Ringtone Volume to independently adjust Alarms and Timers and Alerts and System Sounds instead of tying them to your ringtone volume.
Fix passwords with a tap
The Passwords app can alert you to weak or compromised passwords and help update them on supported websites and apps.
Explore new Child Safety tools
iOS 27 introduces redesigned parental controls with several new ways to manage a child's device:
- At-a-glance usage shows device usage and most-used apps.
- Time Allowances set daily limits for categories such as Entertainment, Games, and Social Media.
- Ask to Browse lets parents approve new websites.
- Ask to Buy includes approval for app downloads.
- Contact approval lets parents approve new contacts before a child can communicate with them.
- Schedules control when apps and websites are available.
- Always Allowed keeps selected apps and contacts accessible even when other access is paused.
