Meet Siri AI on your wrist
watchOS 27 adds Siri AI and a Siri app, along with a new Dynamic app grid. The rebuilt Siri experience lets you use many of the same Siri features on your Apple Watch that you'd use on iPhone, though full Siri AI integration may be rolling out later in the year rather than at launch, and requires a compatible nearby iPhone (see compatibility note above).
Check in on Siri from a dedicated app
Apple is building a Siri app for the watch so you can access all your Siri conversations right from your wrist, syncing with the Siri app on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac too.
Get to know the new dynamic app grid
Get to your go-to apps faster with a new dynamic app grid. Click the Digital Crown once and you'll see six icons — five based on your recent and frequent use, plus a sixth reserved for Siri when Siri AI is available on your setup. Click again to return to the watch face, or swipe up for the full app list.
Learn the new tap gesture
A new single-tap gesture (tap your index finger and thumb together once) lets you select and act on whatever widget is showing in your Smart Stack — open the Heart Rate app for a live reading, start a suggested workout, or pause playback — all one-handed. It builds on the existing double-tap gesture, which you can still use to cycle through your Smart Stack, answer calls, and more. Both are customizable or can be turned off entirely in Settings.
Take Workout Buddy off-leash
Workout Buddy no longer requires a nearby iPhone. It now works independently on your Apple Watch, so you can benefit from it even if you leave your phone at home.
A redesigned Find My app
watchOS 27 removes four built-in apps, folding three of them into a single unified Find My app and dropping Walkie-Talkie entirely. The new Find My app supports Precision Finding for locating an iPhone, AirPods Pro 3, or a second-generation AirTag.
A refined Liquid Glass look
Liquid Glass has been updated on the Watch to focus on readability, with more uniform refraction and better contrast.
