Teaching kids how to call 911
Teach your children how to dial 911 in the event of an emergency. They may need to know how to unlock your device.
1.
Press the Side button to wake up the phone.
2.
Swipe the screen in any direction to unlock the phone.
If you have additional screen security set on your phone (e.g., a PIN), be sure to show your child how to unlock it.
3.
Tap Phone.
4.
Using the keypad, enter 911.
You can also use Emergency Mode to extend your phone's battery life, call 911, send your location to a contact and more.
5.
Show your child where the Call icon is, but don't tap it unless there's an emergency.
6.
You've completed the steps!
