Preparing to ship your iPhone 18 Pro Max
Prepare to Ship is an Apple Settings feature for the iPhone 18 Pro Max that discharges its high-capacity battery below 20 watt-hours and caps the charge limit to comply with international transport regulations for repairs, trade-ins, or returns.
1.
From the Settings app, scroll and tap General.
2.
Scroll to and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.
3.
Tap Prepare to Ship.
4.
Select the reason you're shipping your iPhone.
Select Repair, Trade-In, or Return when sending your iPhone to Apple, a reseller, or a carrier. Select Other when sending it to another individual, such as when selling or gifting it.
5.
If prompted, enter your Apple Account password, then tap Enable Repair or Trade In.
6.
Follow the on-screen instructions until your iPhone is ready to ship.
The instructions may vary depending on the reason you selected for shipping your iPhone.
7.
When Ready to Ship appears, tap Done.
8.
You've completed the steps!
