Turning Off Wi-Fi Assist
Learn how to save data by turning off Wi-Fi Assist on your device. Wi-Fi Assist will use your data plan to connect to the internet when your Wi-Fi signal is poor.

From the Home screen, tap Settings.

Tap Cellular.

Scroll to Wi-Fi Assist.
4.
Switch Wi-Fi Assist to the Off position. When enabled, Wi-Fi Assist will use your data plan to connect to the internet when Wi-Fi signal is poor. Disabling this feature will help you save data on your monthly data plan.
