How to pay your AT&T WirelessSM bill

Need to pay your AT&T WirelessSM bill? That’s easy. You can pay your AT&T Wireless and other AT&T bills online without even signing in. Or, if you’re looking for more options, you can pay your AT&T bill through the myAT&T app, over the phone, in person, and even through the mail. Keep reading to find out how.

Where do I pay my AT&T bill online?

1. Go to att.com/pay. Sign in, if asked.
2. Choose the account you want to pay (if you have multiple accounts).  
3. Review the payment amount and change if necessary. Select Split this payment to use different payment methods or pay on different dates. 
4. Follow the prompts to submit your payment. 
5. To pay more than one bill, repeat these steps for each account. 

Note: If you have multiple accounts that aren’t linked, make sure you sign in separately for each ID you need to pay.

Can I pay my AT&T bill online without signing into my AT&T account?

Absolutely! You can pay your AT&T bill online by knowing only your AT&T Wireless phone number or account number, along with your billing ZIP Code.  

Step 1: Visit AT&T fastpay to pay without signing into your account.  

Step 2: Choose AT&T Wireless.  

Step 3: Enter your phone number or account number. 

Step 4: Enter Billing ZIP Code. Follow the instructions on your screen.  

Note: If you have an AT&T Prepaid® wireless account, you can also pay without signing into your online account.

Can I pay my AT&T bill in person?

Yes, simply visit any AT&T store location to pay your bill in person.

Where do I mail a payment to pay my AT&T Wireless bill?

To pay your AT&T Wireless bill by mail, please make all checks payable to AT&T and include your account number or payment slip. It can take up to ten days to receive and post the payment.

How do I pay my AT&T bill by phone?

You can make a payment by calling the AT&T automated system and following the voice prompts. You’ll need to have your payment info and passcode handy when you call. 

Note: There’s no charge to pay your bill using the automated system. But there is a convenience fee if you pay over the phone with an agent. 

Give us a call at 800.331.0500 or dial 611 from your AT&T Wireless phone. You can pay through the automated system 24 hours a day, but you’ll be able to reach an agent during these hours: 

Saturday – Sunday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. CT

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. CT

What payment methods does AT&T accept?

AT&T accepts the following payment methods online without signing in: 

  • Debit or credit cards (Mastercard®, Visa®, American Express®, Discover®, JCB, and Diners Club) 

  • Apple Pay 

  • PayWithMyBank (online banking—not all banks participate) 

 

If you’re signed in to your myAT&T account, you can pay with these additional payment methods: 

  • Checking or savings accounts 

  • AT&T promotional gift cards 

  • BitPay 

  • Mastercard® Click to Pay 

 Note: Online payments usually post to your account within minutes, but they can take up to 24 hours to complete.

Do I get a discount for AutoPay with AT&T?

Did you know you might be able to lower your monthly AT&T bill by using AutoPay to make your payments? Enroll in AutoPay and paperless billing to get a monthly discount for qualified rate plans. You can use your bank account, debit card, or credit card to sign up for AutoPay.

How do I set up AutoPay for bills?

1. Go to AutoPay. Sign in, if asked. 

2. If you have multiple accounts, select the account you want to sign up for AutoPay. 

3. Toggle AutoPay On

4. Follow the prompts to finish signing up.

5. Repeat these steps for each account you want to pay automatically.

Good to know

AutoPay methods using a credit card will have an earlier draft date. AutoPay using a debit card or bank account will draft closer to your bill due date.

How long does it take AutoPay to start?

It can take up to two bill periods for AutoPay to take effect on your AT&T Wireless account. Pay as usual until you seeAutoPay is scheduled for (date)in one of these places:

  • Paper bill: Look in the upper-right corner of the first page. 

  • Online: Go to your myAT&T Account overview and check the Total balance section.

How do I update the expiration date on my current card for AutoPay?

  1. Go to AutoPay

  1. Select the account you want to update (if you have more than one).
  1. Choose Update and complete the required fields.

  2. Select Save changes.


How do I pause AutoPay?

You can take a break from AutoPay for a month if you don’t want to automatically make your next payment. Keep in mind, you’ll still have to pay your bill by the due date. Automatic payments will resume as usual the next month. Here’s how to pause your AutoPay:

  1. Go to AutoPay.  

  1. Select the account you want to pause (if you have more than one). 

  1. Select Pause AutoPay and follow the prompts. 

  1. Repeat these steps to pause AutoPay for another AT&T service. 

Good to know: You can’t pause AutoPay if your payment is scheduled within the next two days or if your service or credit status requires automatic payments. If you pause AutoPay for more than one month, AutoPay and any AutoPay discounts may be removed from your account.
