Troubleshoot wireless call issues
Find out what to do if you can't make or receive calls on your AT&T mobile phone.
Try these tips to get your phone working again
- Turn your phone off and back on.
- Try calling the number again.
- Make sure your device software is up to date.
- Confirm you have wireless service. Make sure you have a signal. Check our network coverage map.
- Turn off call forwarding. Press #21# on your phone and then the Call, Send, Talk, or Receiver key.
- Check that you aren’t blocking calls.
More troubleshooting tips
- Turn off airplane mode. Most phones show an airplane icon when airplane mode is on.
- Check your SIM card. You may have to take it out and put it back in if your phone displays Insert SIM or Emergency Call Only.
- Get device support.
