Reduce remote control clutter by using the TV remote to operate the LG sound bar. Eight brands of television remote are currently supported, enabling volume adjustment on the sound bar as easily as on the TV.

Very easy to set up, and works like a dream.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it. I have a hearing problem in both ears. Right ear is worse then left, but left is mabe about 40% better according to my last hearing test about 4 months ago. With this soundbar I can hear everything in left ear, and right one I can hear what is said with this new equipment much better without having to turn up TV to high for wife.

Good sound but breaks too soon
The sound is decent, and for the price, I would say excellent when I first bought it, but the sound quality declines and declines and after just over a year, completely broken, no sound.

We understand you want the best audio settings when pairing an onn. 4K Plus streamer with your Samsung KS8000 while using the LG SK1. The SK1 supports Dolby Digital and LPCM 2.0, so the most consistent setup is to set your TV’s digital audio output to PCM. If your TV offers Bitstream, choosing Bitstream (Dolby Digital) also works well, as long as DTS is not selected. Confirming that Pass Through is turned off helps ensure the SK1 receives only the formats it supports. You can only control the volume up/down and mute functions on the LG Soundbar for TV with Bluetooth® Streaming, 2.0 Channel, Model # SKM1 with an LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba or Vizio TV remote when you press and hold DRC ON on the soundbar's remote control for two seconds. The state LED and Bluetooth LED will blink twice to indicate that the function has been enabled. This will not work for your TCL Roku TV remote...^IVan.a year ago

However, you can set up your HomePod as the default audio output for your Apple TV by ensuring your HomePod is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.
