So far so good
I have had it for less than 2 weeks and we are on an unlimited plan. They say it could slow down after 22gb. I'm in a rural area and haven't noticed a problem yet even after passing 22gb.

Nice design, minute data.
I did not realize how little memory was quoted over the phone by AT&T staff for my Directv bundle quote. It seemed like exceptional value for money. However, 5GB is impossible to last a whole month. It barely lasts 5 days and I do not use the internet at home much at all. Just went back to using my hotspot option on my phone. Will rarely use the Velocity product moving forward. I figure if I wanted more memory, my monthly bill will increase dramatically.

Overall, ok.

The device itself if pretty good, but upon activation it had to update and download and then to connect devices to it they had to install stuff to link. after an hour of this my 5 gig plan had incurred more than 8 gigs of data usage which added 3 overage packs to the plan. I really feel this is not fair and device initial updates should not incur extra charges.

Nice travel hotspot.

Not a real strong contender for hole house wifi. Slow to show up on a scan of available wifi. Has to be restarted on a regular basis. Battery life is fair. Good for traveling hot spot.

Q: I have a RV camper that I use year round. Would this work for gaming consoles and streaming videos from services?

A: Howdy Rick76!
What a great question! I will be more than happy to help answer your question!
It is always best to use broadband internet for gaming consoles as cellular data can not only lag, but also use up a lot of data. Here is a link to all of our current plans as well as more information on them! https://www.att.com/plans/wireless.html

Q: Why can't this be used with the unlimited data plans with AT&T?
1 Answer
A: Hi there Klove!
Great question! It would depend on which kind of unlimited plan you are looking at. As long as the plan supports hotspot capability, you should be good to go adding the Velocity to your plan. You can check out the current offered plans: https://www.att.com/plans/wireless.html.
Thanks for asking!

Q: I am traveling to the Philippines, will this work without adding cost to my data plan or should I stay with my original plan and buy mobile WiFi device once I arrive in Philippines

A: Hi RobertnAngie!
I hope your trip goes amazing! The Velocity can access 2, 4, 5, 17, and 29 LTE bands. As long as the local carriers have these bands, you can use this device. You will want to make sure to have a compatible international plan as well: https://www.att.com/offers/international.html.

Q: Can a WiFi range extender be used with the velocity?
1 Answer
A: Hi Jmill87,
It's important to us you have reliable service! AT this time, extenders are only designed to connect to a home internet service provider which uses a static IP rather than a dynamic. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I hope you find this helpful. Have a great rest of your day!

Q: If left plugged into AC power for long periods, can it damage / overcharge the battery?
1 Answer
A: Hello Capn_Al,
Thank you for your question. For the AT&T Velocity if this device is left plugged in for certain amount of time it will go into Power Saving Mode. Also, per the user manual it states to power your device off if necessary.
