Great simple phone
Got this phone for my dad who is 74 an had a stroke some years back. The buttons are big an easy to use for him. He doesn't text or use the internet. So this simple big phone is perfect for him.

Need something that works easily for seniors
This phone is not user friendly for seniors. My mother is 91 years old and is always having trouble with this phone. Your selection of easy to use phones for seniors is narrowed down to 2 options. Can ATT try to focus on a better selection for older individuals please!!!

Phone isn't appropriate for most senior citizens

You may want to find a more appropriate phone for a senior citizen. The Cingular Flip IV has significant design flaws. The cursor control is a thin ring around the OK key. It is difficult to use even if you have small fingers and good manual dexterity. (I have to use a finger nail to use it.) The operating system requires an inordinate number of key clicks simply to place a phone call from the contacts list. The menu system is poorly designed; selections to configure a function, e.g., Bluetooth, must be accessed from a different menu than the one used to enable/disable the function. My 80+ year Mom worked as a telephone operator and has trouble using this phone.

Frustrating

Worst cell phone I've ever had. It feels and acts more like a smartphone than a flip phone, making it very frustrating if you have problems with small type on small screens. I like the HD Voice feature. The display is poor for 2-factor authorization. I set it for large type but it's not large enough to read any codes with upper and lower case letters.

Keypad is Flawed

I've used flip phones for the last 17 years. This has been the worst model to date. Got two as they were the only basic phones being offered by AT&T through my group. Both phones started having problems texting since the keypads stopped working. Hitting a key didn't always register and sometimes registered 2, 3, or even 4 times. It is almost impossible to text with this issue. Again, same problem with both phones. The make overall is the cheapest plastic I've had with a flip phone. This is not a durable model and AT&T should discontinue it.

By far the worst phone I've ever owned. The first one was defective and had a two week warranty, even though I was given 30 days to activate it. Customer service was awful. Finally received a replacement and found out just what an inferior product this really is. It is at best "fair" for making calls, but performs poorly in all other areas, especially texting. The list of problems with this phone are too many to list, but I assure you it is a frustrating POJ to use. Absolute garbage.

I wanted a simple phone for calls and texting. The buttons stick for texting and either you get nothing or multiple letters when u push 1x. When I did the update talk to text (which I used a lot) vanished. Since daylight savings time all my set alarms go off an hour late.
