Great phone service
I got the att wireless home phone for myself and my mom who is in a nursing home. Its great for her because if her room changes, we dont have to pay for a disconnect/reconnect with a hardwired phone. The price is great and reception is good as well.

Worst product I’ve ever used
I reviewed the product, about 5 days later I noticed I had never received a call,tried to make one out unsuccessfully, after making 3 calls to their technical department they were able to somewhat correct it. I got home last night and it wasn’t working. So in all I would say in case of an emergency this wold be the LAST!!!!!!! Piece of equipment I would want or recommend.

Hooked this up and it works as advertsed.
Calls are clear and there have been no technical issues.
Recommended if you are trying to save a few bucks
on home phone service.

Cannot answer home phone from other rooms in home.

I purchased the wireless unit to save money without much research. I have multiple phones throughout my home and when the home phone rings I want to answer it where convenient. The wireless base allows up to two phones to be connected but both phones must be nearby or wiring must be run (and hidden) to a second location in the house. And what if you have three floors? I don't want to remodel my home to use this unit. I just want to have the capability of answering the home phone in the basement or in an upstairs bedroom.
A second unit cannot be installed without an additional phone number.
I am not saving much money either. Wireless lines still require all Federal Access and Regulatory fees as well as Taxes, Fees and Surcharges as charged by the "wired" home phone line.

My new home phone

The wireless phone worked just like the salesperson explained. It connected to my current blue tooth cordless phones very easily. It was easy to set up and the phone service has worked very well.

Take your home phone with you

I have had a chance to use this for a few days and it works very well. However if you have a home Fax machine you are out of luck. A fax machine is not supported.

Our wireless home phone is just wonderful. It has all of the options a home phone needs. Plus it includes long distance for no charge and calls to Mexico that are key to our family.

Great Idea

A power outage knocked out my cordless phone system which was connected to the land line. We could only find out who had called by checking our voicemail several times a day. This was a perfect solution. The device was delivered the day after I ordered the service. Connecting the device was simple, just plug into electrical power and connect the phone to the device. We love that the phone can work wherever we go. My husband likes that we can go on vacation for a week or two and he's not missing his calls at home.

- A: Hello rsxen! Great question! In many cases with the DIRECTV receiver you would need a wireless internet source. If this is what you need, then you can connect to the Wireless Home Phone’s network. If you need the phone line jack, similar to a landline, this would not work as intended. We also recommend checking the compatibility requirements on your receiver when setting up a connection. - A: Hello DAE1, This device routes 911 calls based on the wireless network’s automatic location technology. Your location will be given to the emergency dispatcher, but you should expect to provide your exact address to the emergency responders. Regarding power outages, the AT&T Wireless Home Phone device is equipped with a backup battery that lasts approximately 3 hours of talk time and 25 hours of standby time. However, a corded phone must be plugged into it in order to make calls, so the corded phone should have batteries as well otherwise you won’t be able to use it. If you currently have DSL Internet and a home phone, please check with your Internet provider first before transferring your phone number to avoid any disruption in service.
