"I love this phone"

I recently purchased a this phone in my switch from another "unnamed" carrier. To At&t and I don't regret the move one bit. This phone is absolutly awsome. I love the trackball and how easy it is to navigate. I also love the way that you can change the way the screen looks depending on how you like to use the phone. Not to mention that the features are awsome.
Here are some of the things that I enjoy about the phone.
E-mail: Easy to set up! Easy to recieve and respond to e-mails. They all come into your messaging folder and you can just type in a response and click send. It's that easy.
Full Keyboard; I've found with having the full querty keyboard that i'm texting almost as fast as I can type. It's awsome.
Speed Dials: You can set a speed dial to each key on the phone. That's more than most of the other phones on the market.
Screen: The screen is large enough that you don't have to get close to read what's on it and it's not a touch screen!
Size: It's smaller than you might think. It fits really well inside my purse or even on my hip and it's light enough that it's not pulling on my clothing regardless of where I decide to place it.
Battery: I have gone 4 days without charging it. And that's under normal use talking about 2 hrs total a day. And after the 4 days it still had almost half the battery life left.
I would deffinatly, deffinatly recommend this to anyone with a busy life schedule! It has deffinatly made my life a little easier!

App Error 523 - MUST HAVE PHONE REPLACED

The Blackberry Curve is a really nice phone when it is working. I have had to replace the phone twice due to the App Error 523 message. Evidently, this message is comparable to the blue screen of death on your PC. I was told that this error does not happen too often; however, it happened to me on two separate occassions with two different Blackberry Curves.
Although I like the phones features and usability, I would not recommend it to anyone who use the phone for business - because when this error occurs, you will have no means of communication unless you go into a store and replace the phone. Additionally, all ring tones and games will need to be repurchased.
ATT customer service is very helpful, but still a huge inconvenience to lose the use of your PDA and telephone.

Awesome Phone!!

I've had my 8310 for 2 years now and I love it, granted I don't get on the 'Net or use it for E-Mail. Never had one problem with this phone, durable, great voice clarity and the signal is off the charts.
I would highly recommend this phone for voice quality, ease of texting and great picture taking capabilty.

Great Baseline Smart Phone

I've had this phone 3+yrs and have used it primarily for calls, email and text. NOT functional for internet surfing... it will drive you insane! Works great with nav such as google maps. Battery is good, above average. Camera is very good -- I've taken high res pics and have over 500 stored on my phone. Speaker phone has great volume. Phone has survived numerous falls/drops without issue. The only real problem is related to the track ball -- it will frequently stick and not move in the downward position.

this is now going on my 3rd 8310. the phone keeps freezing and restarting randomly. and now i have an app error 523 and cant do anything on it. unbelieveable. if ur thinking about getting this phone DONT, WILL CAUSE NOTHING BUT HEADACHES AND FRUSTRATION

garbage phone

hace had 3 blackberryy phones- all garbage- do not waste your time. Currently have the curve. Track ball has broken all phones. Internet download time is a joke. keys way too tiny- preferred layout on the pearl much better than this phone. Picture quality poor. screen so small hard to view web pages efficiently. keys stick preventing correct texting. battery life is good- and that is the only thing.
Blackberry name is not worth the investment. They have failed to keep up with the competitors. Never again will I buy another blackberry.
