LG Arena - Overall decent phone.
I've had my LG Arena about 3 or 4 weeks now and I have to say overall I am satisfied with this device. It is a bar form fully featured phone complete with AT&T mobile TV, 5MP camera with Geo Tag, Threaded Messaging, Dobly Music Mobile and full HTML browser. Out the box I must say the first thing one would notice is no 3.5mm jack. Major buzz kill. But I was able to overcome that by finding an adapter so that's no longer an issue. After turning on the phone I was very impress with the display quality and even the 3-D interface. The screen and graphics look amazing and I was able to customize all the menus, home screens and even the locked wallpaper pictures (Shouts out to Mythic owners!) to my liking which was very impressive to me. The camera on this phone is excellent! One of the best I've seen on an U.S. phone and video quality is not bad either. Love the music player (although you need a adapter for your headphones) and the internet browsing looks great with the full HTML browser. However net surfing on the phone will take some getting use to as the display starts off really small. But you can zoom using multi-tap or by hitting the zoom icon on the bottom. Once you get used to it its not that bad. As far as texting goes its going to be a while before I become a pro at this. The capacitive screen is very sensitive and the buttons might be a fraction too small. A major downside for those with very large fingers as you would have to be very precise. I find that I could type faster on the portrait view than landscape but I'm getting better at it. Finally I must say as a phone it performs at its best. Call quality is excellent in my area and I really like how the screen automatically locks when you put it near your face (no more dialing out or texting unexpectedly). Overall I would say that the LG arena is a great phone for anyone who is looking for an advanced, fully loaded, touchscreen alternative to the Iphone and a AT&T mobile TV capable phone. Great for March Madness Fans!!!

Slick, but disappointing

I ordered this phone and gave it a shot for a couple of days. While it's pretty, I couldn't bring myself to keep it. For AT&T's flagship feature phone it has too many limits. No Wifi. No stereo jack. A virtual QWERTY keyboard that doesn't work in crucial functions like the integrated social networking app. Email that costs extra to use on top of the data plan. And the touchscreen could use more precision.
Upsides included the nice camcorder and razor sharp display. Call quality was average and battery life was typical for this class of phone.

One lean and mean touchscreen machine

This is the best phone I have had yet. It is light and compact to carry in your pocket. The screen is crisp and bright. The first thing most people say is wow that screen looks good. Then once you get to using it it gets even better. This phone can be customized so that there is a shortcut to everything from emails, facebook, pictures, and contacts within a touch or two. And these screens are very interactive and easy to use. Also the internet is fast and works very well.
I will say this phone may not be for everyone though. The onscreen keyboard works great for me, but it is a little small for some. It has 3G so it goes through the battery in 1-2 days with heavy use. It is a computer so sometimes it gets backlogged and slow to close screens if you have too much going. Though I do love the multi-task screen manager.
Overall this phone is compact, easy to use, full of features, and it does not require a smartphone data plan. I would buy this phone again.
Proscamera/video quality, ease of use, games, good for texting, menus, tools
Conssmall keys
Yes, I recommend this product.

Pros: This phone takes beautiful pictures , it's a nice size, and it has signature (for all those signature lovers)
Cons: Sometimes this phone wont go into portrait mode during text messages, so you have to tilt it at a certain angle, it freezes a lot, the operating system is extremely slow so you would have to have a lot of patience to deal with it. also, this phone is very overpriced!!!!!
as far as everyone complaining about the phone flashing a black screen this is because at the top left corner there is a sensor so when you're blocking the sensor the screen will appear black during a phone call or if someone is calling you
This can be a great phone if at&t fixes the minor problems.
I though this was going to replace the iphone.
Great:
Picture (best I've seen), video (best I've seen), speaker, voice calling id, nice vibrating settings.
You have to pay extra for gmail, come on!
Very poor:
Battery life, gets very hot, rotating screen slow some times doesn't work, NO WIFI, touchscreen text hard to use. I got many hung up calls I guess because I rubbed on face. Not good outside. If it goes into blackscreen you have to press button to accept call.
Not important:
Not great memory but SD card took care of that very well.
OVER ALL,
This phone could be FANTASTIC!
BUT INTERNALLY, ITS requiring some more development.
Proscamera/video quality, ease of use, speaker, nice interface
Consbattery life, freezes, software bugs, no wifi
No, I do not recommend this product.
