Not mad at all
I wasnt sure I was going to like this phone more than my Note 20 Ultra but I must say I truly enjoy this phone. I love the ability to still use a stylus! I never upgraded to the Galaxy 21 bc of my love for the stylus with the Note. So the fact that I get more screen AND a stylus is definitely a bonus

TRASH I am a HUGE fan of Samsung and their devices. My husband FELL in LOVE with this device and got it. Was fine for awhile, but then the screen separated down the fold part and the right side of the device quit working. We filed a claim with insurance because of course it was just outside the time frame of "warranty" and they brought us a new one. NOT EVEN A MONTH LATER and it's done the SAME thing again! Straight down the middle where the "fold" is... separates and causes the phone to quit woSee more

Note 20 Ultra upgrade, no regrets

I recently upgraded to the Z fold 3 from the Note 20 Ultra, the Notes have always been my go to phones. With that said, the Folds have always been on my radar, just to new and expensive to get. So for those of you who may be reluctant or on the fence about moving to the Fold 3, I'm going to say flat out I LOVE it.
I loved the large screen on my Notes, its always been the key feature I loved. I very much stream video content on the go. So having that big screen that plays the video is great. It displays it bigger than on the Note 20 Ultra. Sure you could zoom in on some apps to fill the screen, but on the Fold 3 you don't and its fantastic. The crease in the middle doesn't distract at all when playing videos.
Second the battery does drain slightly quicker, especially if you use the large screen more often than not. I get almost a 12-13 hours of use, watching maybe an hour of video. Using apps on the large screen and small screen from time to time. I don't feel I need to change my usage for fear of the battery draining to quickly. Some days when on the go for longer than 12 plus hours and its getting low, I have a quick charger in my car. An hour on it and BAM, back to 70-80%. So Battery, not so bad.
Now sure the cameras aren't on par with the Note 20 Ultra or the S series, but they still are quite good. But camera quality doesn't matter much to me, I take the occasional picture or selfie. So the 10 mp selfie camera on the front is fine for me and 12 mp ones on the back get it done for me.
I also thought the weight would bother me, but having a Note 20 Ultra or S 21 Ultra in your pocket is already quite heavy. The weight change isn't noticeable, in my opinion. Also those phones always feel like I might drop them easily, because my fingers barely get around them. When this phone is folded, it feels great in my hand. When I want a bigger screen though, BAM, unfold and bigger screen than all Ultra Models. Speaking of that screen, I thought it might feel cheap, like on the previous models. It doesn't.
So if you've been thinking about these Z Fold phones, I personally think they finally got them out of the test phase and their ready for primetime. Especially since their is no new Note this year. Even if they do introduce a new Note next year, I think Ive finally moved on to a Bigger, Better and Foldier Phablet.

Do NOT buy this phone.

My phone is only 2 months old. The hardware for data and wifi has stopped working. The microphone will cut out. Drops audio and video calls randomly. AT&T says its Samsung's issue and will not exchange the phone. Samsung will only repair it if you send it in. Neither will offer a loaner while the phone is being replaced.

BEWARE!! THIS PHONE WILL BREAK

PLEASE choose a different phone!! I have had mine less than 1yr and a half. I BABY my device. Out of NOWHERE the large screen gets a line down the middle, line through the side, and the touch screen stops working. NEVER should this happen on such an expensive device that is well cared for. Definitely a mechanical defect that will eventually invade your phone. Stay away!
So sad because I loved the concept, but not at all worth it in the long run. I suppose the opening and closing over time(no matter how gentle) is just too much for the device to handle. JUST DON'T DO IT

Good and bad

First the good... I replaced a phone and iPad with this one device. So it's great in that respect.
But the bad outweighs the good. Particularly when it comes to the following screen. Not long after I purchased the phone, the manufacturer installed screen protector began to peel away along the fold. So the crease that was barely noticeable became and unsightly bubble down the middle.
I would not recommend this phone.

I got the black line on the center. Like everyone is saying. And I was within my 1 year warrened and i was told it not cover by it. I paid in between 2 to 3 hundred deductible. And within 3 month it happen again. Great ideal but its not ready to be use for day to day

Never Again

Sounds like we are all having the same problem. Few months after owning the phone a black line came down the middle of the hinge on the inside screens and the right side of it quit working. Even with insurance you will pay over $300. Called Samsung and they said mail us the phone and we will fix it but that will run $300- $500. When the phone was new I really did like it but it won't last long enough to enjoy it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

- A: Yes, a wireless plan with 5G is needed to access the AT&T 5G network. However, both phones will work without a 5G plan, and will instead use the 4G LTE network.
