Throw away the iphones, they don't compare to this!
From front to back, side to side,no other phone holds a candle to the Captivate, point blank! From apps., to everything. It rules. I have an friend who owns all the i phones. Dont get me wrong they r nice. But when we went head to head, the new iphone could,nt stan up!! Captivate is faster, smaller in bulk, pictures is 50x more clearer, not to mention all else. Go to ur local store. Proff is in the product!! BLESSINGS

I Love this phone except
There are two things i can not stand about this phone and one isn't Samsungs fault. Kies 2.0 does not work for the Captivate. It would be beautiful to be able to sync to my outlook like my friends in the UK can. In the US ATT blocked Kies 2.0, but we get Kies lite which is used strictly for firmware update (which bricked my last phone).
The reason i needed to firmware update was for the GPS. Which is the worst feature ever even when it is updated. It takes too long to update and the program developed to reset it lets it work for 5 minutes... god save you if you are on the road. i haven't seen anything less than 1400 meter accuracy without a powercycle.
I love that it's android and i can take it to any PC. however I need Kies 2.0 and a better GPS for it to be 5/5 stars.

Excellent Phone

I got this phone 1 year ago (refurbished) and I love it. It was an upgrade from the S. eternity. I use it all the time for both work and personal. My kids love to use my phone too because of the camera, video, texting, and android games, when they can get it away from me. I have the data plan and use google maps app when I am traveling. It's great to get access to all our families emails on one device. I use a scientific calculator App. for many work and home projects. There was only one issue that I have had that it would ( and still does) turn off unexpectedly unless I have the Android App. "Captivate Keep Alive" running. With that App. running I have had no other problems. I think I can text with the Swype feature just as fast as having a Qwerty keyboard. The Samsung Captivate is a great phone!! I use Advanced Task Killer to turn off un wanted programs and turn off "Data Network" to keep my battery life through the day otherwise the programs will run my battery down very quickly. The Samsung Captivate is a great phone and I have not regretted getting this phone!!

I really love the size of the phone and all the features of it too! This is one of those phones that you need to play with for awhile to become more familiar with how to use all its features. The battery life is just okay because this phone has so many cool features that, you will never put it down! Very cool looking phone sturdy too. Only major problem is that if you purchase this phone refurbished, BEWARE! It may not work and sure it can be returned within 90 days but if you require immediate use of a phone like myself, you might want to choose a more reliable option because you may keep getting duds.
