Most durable phone ever
Had a rugby 3 that got lost in a pile of snow on my roof. Had to purchase the 4 to the dismay of my wife. Works great great battery life and absolutely waterproof. I jumped in my pool forgetting it was in my pocket and it was completely fine. On a side , when I found the first phone when the snow melted 8 weeks later , I plugged it in to the charger and it came back to life

Great Basic Phone

I didn't want a Smart Phone, a basic is all I need. This phone fits the bill. I have had it for a week and LOVE it. Great design and gray features in including the WiFi. Battery life is very good, once fully charged. The rugged design is great!

Toughest phone on the market

I have an older version of this phone the rugby 2. I am in the concrete industry and needed a phone that could hold up to a lot of abuse.I originally started out with the first version of the rugby almost 6 years ago, which lasted me 4 years . I put that phone thru some serious abuse , here are few examples : dropping it from 30ft up in the air, dropping it in the back of a concrete truck and it even ended up in a bucket of concrete sealer which is the consistency of a varnish lacquer. I have had the rugby 2 for about 2 1/2 years and it is every bit as tough as the rugby 1. I have even used it in the shower. I pay for my mom and dads phones and my dad was going thru flip phones at about 1 every 6 months, he is kinda clumsy always dropping or getting his phone wet, which is easy to do in oregon due to a lot rain. So I bought him the rugby 4. He is still clumsy and gets it wet a lot, but I don't worry about it anymore, it is taking his abuse like a champ, just like the older versions I have and had . I apologize for the long review, but I want everyone know that the rugby flip phone is hands down the toughest phone I have every had and between me and my parents that's a lot. Samsung out did themselves making this phone and due to is long-lasting durability I rarely have to upgrade my phone. When I got my first rugby , I was averaging 3 phones a year. In the last 6 plus years I am on my 2nd phone and its all owed to the rugby. I would still be using my first rugby if I hadn't ran it over with a 60000lb loader. Speaking from first hand experience, if you are looking for a durable long lasting flip phone the rugby is the way to go.

Excellent phone as long as 3G existed for phones

I love my Rugby 4! However, in their infinite wisdom, Samsung sold the Rugby 4 as a 4G phone when it is, in fact, only a 3G phone. THAT is why I gave this only 2 stars. Ever since they cut off 3G I've had BIG problems finding a phone that compares evenly with the Rugby 4. Problems as NOT finding one made by anyone. Samsung you screwed up royal by discontinuing the Rugby line!!!

Rugby 4 very reliable simple phone

Bought a Rugby 4 flip phone over 4 years ago, very durable, and battery charge stand up to 1 good week with average daily usage, wi-fi works no problems, blue tooth no problem, leak test dropped in my laundry with washing stuff 20min in it, before realizing of missing it, got it out, looked better - washed, just wet outside, wonder how is inside in the battery area, no problem, thanks to reddish protective seal inside the back cover, what else do I need ? And I have unlocked so works with most probably providers, used to have the telus, now have with chatr and no problems guys, cam 3 MP, camcoder not bad, I realy recommend this simple phone because the long battery life....and the signal really good and I checked it underground garage as well in the mechanical room where I work as Janitor, hospital still I get 1-2 signal bars and we know that hospital is the main barrier to have bad signal and week connection especially in lower bases...again good simple basic daily use phone...

Durable phone

The phone is only good for making calls and or receiving calls. The camera takes pictures but you cannot down load them so, you have to email them to your self. Texting requires more work than a Iphone. Tuff product for those individuals who work outside.

Durable and mostly water proof for outdoors. Compass is a nice touch which works because of the built in GPS. Expensive for a flip phone, but worth it. I sidelined the AT&T bloatware to page two on the menu.
ProsBright display, Durable, nice when outdoors., drop proof
Consat&t bloatware.

- A: Hello jrhrc Those are great questions! The Motorola Tundra uses a Mini sim card and the Samsung Rugby 4, uses a Micro sim card. Good news is that the Samsung will come with the correct size sim card. You will need to stop by your local AT&T corporate store to have the contacts transferred from one device to another. Since pre-paid sim cards need to be activated at a store, you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
