Misleading plan title
When i purchased it, i was under the impression my kid could text and call since the plan for the tablet is unlimited text, call and data. Then i found out its just data because tablets don't make phone calls. I would have gotten a phone if it was clearer on the site.

Waste of money and time

Do not buy. The tablet started having issues after a couple of weeks. Of course the return window is only 14 days, so that gives you no time to see if the product actually works and is worth keeping. I called Samsung and they wouldn’t do anything about the glitches just kept wanting me to restart the tablet. Please listen and don’t waste your time on this purchase.

With the Call & text on other devices feature, you can make and receive calls on your tablet as long as it's signed into the same Samsung account as your phone. You can also send messages. However, the connected phone will need to have active service. Unfortunately, Call & text on other devices currently does not work with Verizon and AT&T phones and may not be available on all models from other carriers. Take a look at, "Make calls and send messages from your Galaxy tablet" if you'd like to learn more about this feature.
