Learning the basics of your device’s keyboard
Tap the Text Message field to open the keyboard.
To temporarily enable capitalization for one character, tap the Up arrow icon.
You can also enable caps lock by tapping the Up arrow twice.
Whenever you need delete and remove text that you’ve typed, tap the backspace X icon.
You can tap and hold the backspace X icon to delete whole words at once.
To add a page break in your text, tap Return.
To enter other characters such as numbers, punctuation marks and more, tap 123 icon.
To add an emoji, tap the emoji icon.
Tap the World icon to switch keyboard languages.
This icon may vary depending on your device’s keyboard languages. Tap and hold to view all available keyboard layouts and languages.
You can use your voice to type by tapping the Microphone icon.
To cut or copy a single word, double-tap it and select your desired action. You can also adjust the selection by dragging the grab points at the end of the text.
Triple-tapping allows you to select paragraphs of text.
