How do I sign up for device protection?
You have 30 days from the date of your activation or upgrade to must sign up within 30 days of a new activation or upgrade. To sign up for AT&T Protect Advantage for 4, AT&T Protect Advantage for 1, or Mobile InsuranceSM. Using the myAT&T app:
  1. Go to your account overview and open the My wireless section.
  2. Scroll to My devices & add-ons and choose a device to sign up.
  3. Select Manage my device and then Get or manage add-ons.
  4. If you have more than 1 device, make sure the correct device is selected.
  5. Select See add-ons I can get.
  6. Choose Device protection. We’ll show options available to you.
  7. Select a plan and follow the prompts to finish up.

Device eligibility

You’re eligible to sign up for device protection within 30 days of service activation or device upgrade.
When you’re ready to add device protection, choose from: 

Device screen repair and replacement deductibles

For each approved screen repair2 or device replacement claim, you’ll owe a non-refundable deductible. The deductible for device replacement varies depending on the device. Check deductible amounts for your device at phoneclaim.com/att.

Protect Advantage for 4

  • You're limited to 8 claims in 12 consecutive months.
  • Your mobile insurance coverage will be canceled if you have 8 claims fulfilled in any 12 consecutive months. You won’t qualify for coverage again until 12 months have passed since the last claim.

Protect Advantage for 1

  • You’re limited to 3 claims in 12 consecutive months.
  • Your mobile insurance coverage will be canceled if you have 3 claims fulfilled in any 12 consecutive months. You won’t qualify for coverage again until 12 months have passed since the last claim.

Mobile Insurance

  • You're limited to 2 claims in 12 consecutive months.
  • Your mobile insurance coverage will be canceled if you have 2 claims fulfilled in any 12 consecutive months. You won’t qualify for coverage again until 12 months have passed since the last claim.
