1. From the home screen, tap Messaging.
   
2. Tap the Menu icon.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. To access text message settings, tap Text messages.
   
5. To access picture message settings, tap Multimedia messages.
   
6. To change the notification alert settings, scroll to and then tap Notifications.
   
7. To change the display style, tap Display.
   
8. To check the message center number, tap Text messages.
   
9. The message center number is displayed
   
10. To adjust emergency alert settings, tap Emergency alerts.
    
11. Messaging settings may be adjusted individually, or you may quickly restore all message settings to their default configuration by tapping Messaging > Menu icon > Settings > Menu icon > Restore default settings.
