1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
   
2. Tap Settings.
   
3. Scroll to, then tap Lock screen.
   
4. Tap Screen lock.
   
5. Tap Pattern.
   
6. Tap Next.
   
7. Touch and drag to enter the desired pattern lock code.
   
8. Tap Continue.
   
9. Re-enter the chosen pattern lock code.
   
10. Tap Confirm.
    
11. Enter the desired backup PIN.
    
12. Tap Continue.
    
13. Re-enter the chosen PIN.
    
14. Tap OK.
    
15. To unlock the device, repeat the chosen pattern on the device lock screen.
