Send & receive email

This article describes how to send and receive email messages.

  1. To send an email, from the home screen, tap the Email icon.

  2. To switch accounts, tap the Accounts tab icon.

  3. Tap Inbox under the desired account.

  4. Tap the Compose icon.

  5. Enter the desired email address, then tap the Subject field.

  6. Enter the desired subject, then tap the Message field.

  8. To add an attachment, tap the Paperclip icon.

  9. Tap the desired attachment option, then follow the prompts to add an attachment.

  11. To receive email, tap the Refresh icon.

  13. To respond to an email, tap the Reply icon.

  14. To respond to all email addresses that the message was sent to as well as the sender, tap the Reply all icon.

  15. To send the email to another email address, tap the Forward icon.

  16. To save and view an attachment, tap the file name.
    Note: Emails with attachments will display a paper clip icon in the inbox.

  17. Tap the file again to view.

  18. To delete the email, tap the Delete icon.

  19. When a new email is received, the New Message icon will display in the Notifications bar.

  20. If using Gmail and a new email is received, the New Gmail icon will display in the notifications bar.
